Murraya paniculata or Jasmine orange

Known in Malaysia as pokok kemuning. Murraya is a genus of flowering plants, closely related to citrus. It is a small tropical evergreen shrub native to South Asia, Southeast Asia and Australia. has numerous uses in traditional medicine for treatment of abdominal pain, diarrhea, stomach ache, headache, edema, thrombosis, and blood stasis.

Murraya paniculata (L.) Jack, commonly known as Orange Jessamine, is a tropical, evergreen plant with tiny, white, scented flowers, which is cultivated as an ornamental tree or hedge The leaves have been used as a food additive in many Indian and Malay dishes due to their strong fragrance.

The habitat: A weed of closed forests, open woodlands, watercourses (i.e. riparian areas), native bushland, forest margins, pastures, disturbed sites, waste areas, gardens and roadsides in the wetter tropical and sub-tropical regions of Australia.
